To introduce and sustain Information and Communication Technology in rural towns.
Richys Training Centre and Technology (trading as Richy's computer shop) started to operate from January 2013 in Matwabeng, a small town in the eastern Free State. The company initially traded as an Internet Cafe in the community, with limited administrative services. Since then, Richys Training Centre and Technology grew extensively and accumulated more services.
Richys provides Computer Training for children and adults, this training equips the trainees with Computer Literacy Competence (End User Computing Skills). In addition to computer training, we extended our service to include Mathematics and English classes. For the local businesses and general public we provide everyday basic office services that include; Photocopy and Printing, scanning, binding, laminating, internet access and typing. Computer technology is growing rapidly in South Africa and with that no one can afford to be left behind, our focus on rural towns is one step forward to achieving our vision.
In 2015, Richys Training Centre and Technology was one of the 15 business that were admitted to the SAB Foundation Tholoana Enterprise Programme in partnership with Fetola. Things began to improve bit by bit and continued the growth curve by putting systems into place that progressively transformed our business. Not that was enough, we went on to win two awards as the most accomplished business in the programme which are, The Standing Ovation Award and The Tholoana Award.
We believe our business is still in existence today because of these simple reasons; the services we provide fills the gap in the community, the lasting relationship we have with our customers and our staff's ability to go extra mile for our customers anywhere possible in spite their social status.
